New York Street Advertising Takeover

This street art intervention was performed in conjunction with The Public Ad Campaign’s second illegal billboard hijacking. Headed by founder Jordan Seiler, the organization staged a one day takeover of illegally installed street-level billboards owned by NPA City Outdoor. 114 billboards were whitewashed by teams of volunteers after which artists installed their own works in place of the paid advertisements.
